Speaking
I speak to executive and technical audiences about web accessibility — what the law actually requires, what automated tools miss, and how teams build accessible products without slowing down.
I participate in the W3C Accessibility Guidelines Working Group, and I am a DHS Trusted Tester and NVDA Expert certified, and COO and Partner at EcomBack. Talks are grounded in work on more than 8,000 websites, not in theory.
Recent engagements
The CxO Talk, CxO Global Forum — 26 March
A long-form session with Zubia Irfan of the CxO Global Forum, for an audience of C-level executives. Topics covered:
- Why ADA, WCAG 2.2 AA and the European Accessibility Act matter now
- The most common barriers — missing alternative text, insufficient colour contrast, keyboard navigation failures, uncaptioned video
- How businesses move from non-compliant to accessible through audits, manual testing, blind user testing and certification
- Where AI genuinely helps in accessibility work — and where human judgement remains essential
- Why accessibility is a responsibility, not only a legal requirement
LAEDC and EcomBack webinar — 3 July 2025
“Navigating Website Accessibility Compliance: Protect Your Business” — presented with Nayan Padrai of EcomBack, alongside Seta Zorabian and Larry Solak of the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation.
The session covered how assistive technology actually works, the barriers that recur most often on business sites, why overlay widgets do not solve the problem, litigation risk for California businesses specifically, and what remediation realistically costs.

Talks I give
Accessibility for executives
For boards and leadership teams. What the regulations require, what exposure looks like in practice, and how to resource accessibility properly. Non-technical.
What automated testing misses
For engineering and QA teams. Automated tools detect roughly 30% of WCAG failures. This session covers the other 70% — keyboard traps, focus order, screen reader behaviour, meaningful alternative text — and how to test for them.
Why accessibility overlays are not a solution
A direct look at overlay widgets: what they claim, what they actually do to the page, why they have appeared in US ADA litigation, and what people who rely on assistive technology report about using them.
Building accessibility into your design system
For design and front-end teams. Fixing components once instead of remediating pages forever. Covers focus states, colour contrast, form patterns and ARIA usage.
The European Accessibility Act for eCommerce
Enforceable since June 2025. Who it applies to, how it differs from ADA obligations, and what sellers into the EU need to have in place.
