What to include in your message

The more of this you can share up front, the more useful my first reply will be:

• Your website address — so I can look before we speak
• Your platform — Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, custom build
• What prompted this — a demand letter, a procurement requirement, a customer complaint, or getting ahead of it
• Any deadline you are working to
• What you have already done — previous audits, an installed overlay, in-house remediation attempts

If you have received a legal demand, say so in your first message. Those situations are time-sensitive and I will prioritise them.

2. Scoping call

A short call to understand your platform, your templates and your timeline. No charge, no obligation.

3. Proposal

A written scope with what will be tested, what you receive, and what it costs. Accessibility work is scoped to the site, not sold from a price list.

Common questions before getting in touch

Do you only work with eCommerce?

That is where most of my work is, but I take on any site where accessibility matters — which is all of them.

We are a small business. Is this affordable?

Scope varies enormously with site size. A focused audit of a small store is a very different engagement from a multi-template enterprise site. Ask and I will tell you honestly.

Can you just tell us if we are compliant?

Not without testing. Anyone who tells you your compliance status without examining your site is guessing.

Do you work with our existing developers?

Usually, yes. I provide findings and specifications; your team implements; I verify. That is often the fastest and least expensive route.
