What CxO Global Forum Recognition Actually Reflects
Two pieces of recognition arrived recently, and rather than just list them I want to say what the work behind them actually involves — because “accessibility consultant” means very different things depending on who is saying it.
CxO Global Forum — Member Spotlight
The CxO Global Forum featured me in their Member Spotlight for work in digital accessibility and compliance, covering ADA, WCAG and global compliance frameworks, and for accessibility education and industry outreach.
CxO Forum News — the work itself
A longer industry feature followed in August 2026, describing the accessibility programme I lead at EcomBack. The detail matters more than the headline, so here is what it actually covers:
- End-to-end audits using manual and assistive technology testing — not automated scans, which detect roughly 30% of WCAG failures
- Code-level remediation mapped to individual WCAG success criteria
- Validation with blind users, because conformance and usability are not the same thing
- Documentation built for legal defensibility — what was tested, what was found, what was fixed, when
- Continuous monitoring, because sites change and accessibility regresses quietly
What I said in that piece is the thing I would most want a business to take away:
Accessibility is not a one-time fix — it is an ongoing responsibility. Our focus is to help businesses build systems that are inclusive, compliant, and sustainable in the long run.
That is not a platitude. Most organisations that get audited once and move on are back in the same position within two years, because the fixes were applied to pages rather than to the components those pages are built from.
Pakistan Entrepreneur Awards 2025
At the Pakistan Entrepreneur Awards 2025, I was recognised as Top Entrepreneur in the Digital eCommerce category, for work across EcomBack and E Design Services.
The CxO Talk
On 26 March I joined Zubia Irfan of the CxO Global Forum for a long-form session with an audience of C-level executives — covering why ADA, WCAG 2.2 AA and the European Accessibility Act matter now, the barriers that recur most often, where AI genuinely helps in accessibility work and where human judgement remains essential.
Why any of this matters to a business hiring for accessibility
It matters because accessibility is a field where anyone can claim expertise, and very little of it is independently checkable.
The claims worth weighing are the ones a third party issued and can withdraw:
- W3C Accessibility Guidelines Working Group — I participate in the group that authors the WCAG standard, alongside Google, Apple, IBM and Deque. Listed publicly.
- DHS Trusted Tester — the US Department of Homeland Security certification for Section 508 manual testing. Examined and hands-on, not a course certificate
- IAAP Organizational Member — International Association of Accessibility Professionals
- NVDA Expert Certified — by NV Access, who publish the NVDA screen reader
When you are choosing a vendor, the question that separates them is simple: can you show me a manual testing methodology, and who certified it? Most of the market sells automated scans. Automated scans are a starting point and nothing more.
Speaking and education
Alongside client work I speak and write about this — the CxO Talk above, and on 3 July 2025 the LAEDC and EcomBack webinar “Navigating Website Accessibility Compliance: Protect Your Business”, presented with Nayan Padrai alongside Seta Zorabian and Larry Solak of the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation.
Most of that is aimed at executives rather than engineers, because accessibility usually stalls at the resourcing decision, not the technical one.

If you are working out where your site stands
Start with the question of which rules apply to you — I have written a guide to ADA, WCAG, Section 508 and the EAA and which one governs your store.
Then test properly. An audit gives you findings mapped to specific success criteria, prioritised by what actually blocks a purchase.
