Privacy
This page describes what ranaahson.com does with personal data: what the forms collect, which cookies are set, who else is involved, and what you can ask us to do about it.
This site is run by Rana Ahson, web accessibility consultant, COO & Partner at EcomBack, 9160 Deering Ave, Chatsworth, CA 91311, United States. For anything on this page, write to info@ranaahson.com.
What we collect
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is no advertising on this site.
Your name, email address, website address if you give one, and your message. It is sent to us by email and is not stored in the website’s database. We use it to answer you.
Your email address, when you choose to sign up, so we can send occasional accessibility notes. Ask us at any time and we will remove you.
A hidden field, a timing check, and a short-lived count of submissions per connection. The count stores a one-way hash of your IP address for ten minutes, then deletes it.
Our host records requests, including IP address, browser and time, for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to build any profile of you.
If you consent, Google Analytics 4 records anonymous usage — pages viewed, rough location, device type. It does not run unless you accept.
No advertising network, no session recording, no tracking pixels, no profiling, and no data sold or shared for advertising.
Cookies
Analytics is held at Google Consent Mode’s denied default until you accept, so nothing non-essential is set before you choose. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the cookie banner. We honour Global Privacy Control: a GPC signal from your browser is treated as an opt-out of sale or sharing under the CCPA/CPRA.
Third parties
Your rights
Send any request to info@ranaahson.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not hand your data to someone else.
Ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, ask for it in a portable form, and withdraw consent at any time. We rely on your consent for analytics, and on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and keeping the site secure for the rest. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
Ask what personal information we have collected, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of sale or sharing — though we do neither. Exercising any of these rights will never get you worse service, and we respond within the statutory period.
This site is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us data, tell us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes we will update the date below, and material changes will be flagged on the site.
This page describes what this website actually does with data. It is written by an accessibility practitioner, not a lawyer, and it is not legal advice. If your own obligations matter to you, have your counsel review it.
